After 35 years wrangling corporate drones and government operatives, Aoibh Wood finally traded in the chaos of Cybersecurity for something truly terrifying: becoming a full-time author. With over seventeen years in infosec and a knack for surviving meetings that could kill a lesser soul, she published her debut novel, Blood Rituals: A Cait Reagan Novel, in 2022. That kicked off a genre-blending series that now spans three sequels: Black Mirror, Green Rath, and Dark Sisters (Winter 2024). Somewhere along the way, she also dropped the bestselling lesbian romantic thriller The Senator’s Widow, proving she’s just as dangerous with a love story as she is with a zero-day.

 

Her latest? But I’m Not a Supervillain!!! — a superhero romantic comedy about a bumbling art thief with a flair for the dramatic and a very inconvenient crush on her arch-nemesis. Because why not? The audiobook debuted at #1 on Amazon's Superhero Fantasy new release chart.

Her current project: Shadow Veil, Book 5 of the Cait Reagan series, due in late 2025.

 

Aoibh lives in New England with her wife and their stunningly attractive, perpetually disappointed cat. When she’s not writing emotionally devastating fiction, she’s probably scuba diving, rock climbing, exploring ancient ruins, or eating something that might technically still be moving. She lifts heavy things for fun and to counteract her writer's posture, which is somewhere between “noodle” and “gargoyle.”
